• Payment and billing information when you purchase credit packs through our secure payment processor.
• Content you upload or paste into the generator, including text, transcripts, or source URLs, along with generated sketchnotes and related metadata.
• Usage analytics such as page views, feature interactions, device data, and approximate location derived from IP address.

How We Use Information

We use collected data to power your experience with SketchNote:

• Generate, store, and organize sketchnotes you request.
• Process purchases and maintain your credit balance.
• Provide customer support, respond to feedback, and improve the dashboard experience.
• Monitor platform health, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• Communicate updates, tips, and product announcements. You can opt out of marketing email at any time.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Service providers that help operate our infrastructure (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing) under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Collaborative users you explicitly invite to shared workspaces or sketchnotes.

Data Retention

SketchNote retains your account information while your account remains active. You can delete sketchnotes or close your account from the dashboard at any time. Deleted content is removed from active systems promptly and from backups within a reasonable period.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, or delete personal data. Submit requests via in-app support or by emailing [email protected]. We verify requests to protect your account.

International Transfers

We store data in the United States and may transfer information to other regions in compliance with applicable data protection laws. When required, we use standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards.

Security

We implement technical and organizational safeguards, such as encryption in transit, access controls, and continuous monitoring. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and enable available security features.

Children's Privacy

SketchNote is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
